POLITICIAN LOBBYS FOR RIGHTS

WASHINGTON, DC - Angered by the overwhelming neglect of St. Patrick's Day as a fiduciary holiday, Libertarian Spokesman and retired thespian, Greg Willis, lobbies for political tolerance for the day celebrating the Patron Saint of Ireland.

"It just sends me into a rage, the way these people neglect this day. I want to scream, 'It's a major holiday, people! You better celebrate that jank!' But nobody listens. They never do. They just keep playing those silly games like wearing green and pinching each other, which, by the way, is more like a tickle than a pinch. I'm doing a seminar on pinching in April, but that's a whole other issue. I'm here today to lobby for the ethical treatment of March 17th, Saint Patrick's Day."

Willis, a long time political awareness advocate and voice for local philanthropic groups such as, Beer Is More Than Nascar and Here Comes the Homebrewsters! has been raising awareness now for two years.

"Last year, at my house, we had a jank you would not believe. Over 100 people showed up to help the cause. I spoke on a microphone for over two hours talking about St. Patrick and why this holiday should be respected as such. I also brewed delicious beer, which I we gave away for free, and had a friend's band, Tacks, The Boy Dissaster play live. But the real hit of the party was me talking."

Similar to last year, Willis is planning a party at his house to raise awareness of what has traditionally been celebrated as a minor holiday.

"This year, I'm brewing beer again and we're going all out. It's what I do. Raising awareness about this holiday is the most important issue facing the 2008 platforms, and we need to be vocal."

Dedicated to keep the campaign running as long as possible for the great good of culture, Greg and wife, Jolie, found great inspiration in the awareness efforts of the Saint Nicolas Crusades of 1979.

"Nobody looks at December 25th and neglects to realize that Christmas is about St. Nick, do they? That's what I'm talking about. Complete global awareness! And, speaking of, to help this jank go global, I'm pairing the event with my ambassador in from England, which is near Ireland, by-the-way. We're taking everything out of the box for this one."

Beginning at 7Pm and ending at 10PM, the party will be held at The Oak Grove Abbey on March 17th.
